Steve Carell Has Superb Comic Timing In This Dvd Movie

So I’m sitting there viewing Get Smart and starting to actually imagine that the trailer made this a href=http://www.hidefdvd.com target=’_blank’dvd/a look a great deal more intriguing. This thought departed in about ten minutes once we watch Max with Agent 99.brbrI’ve always thought Anne Hathaway to be one of the lovelist Hollywood actresses and she did not break me here either. Her slimly suggestive wardrobe kept the eye always on the silver screen, which is how it ought to be.brbrSteve Carell has strong comic timing, he may on occasion remind people of Leslie Nielsen in The Naked Gun and Spy Hard mode, but beyond that he finagles to make Max a really likable and human persona, not just an animated cartoon.brbrMax and Agent 99 (Carell and Hathaway) never actually finish up ‘together’, but appear to finish more on a ‘good friend’ basis by the closing of the picture.brbrThe rest of the cast is by and large well-chosen (however I did not get the point of Bill Murray’s one minute appearence); there is a large plot twist that permits one cast member to play against type, and even Dalip Singh (aka The Great Khali in WWF) comes off well, playing a big indestructible henchman in the custom of Jaws of The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker movies.brbrI forever enjoy a a href=http://www.hidefdvd.com/new-dvd-releases.htm target=’_blank’dvd video/a that can make me laugh and keep the action coming strong. Max and Agent 99 have some intense fight scenes, choreographed by fight scene mastermind James Lew. For a finale of action they let in a dramatic and manic chase sequence as well. By an action standpoint I could say it easily surpasses that of recent Bond films, though the comedy doesn’t make it near as serious.brbrThe story of this flick is rather simple, there are honest guys and negative guys and the good get to stop the bad guys from killing innocent individuals one of which includes the president. Even So this flick includes a not so typical lead analyst known as Maxwell Smart who works for a counter terrorism government agency and desperately wants to become a field agent.brbrEven after passing the field agent exam Max is not allowed to go outside in the field of battle as his chief (Arkin) tells him that he is the foremost analyst they have and that he needs him to keep put. However Max is promoted to a field agent when the evil guys find out all of the names and addresses of the live agents and start to eliminate them, with the help of agent 99 (Hathaway) and agent 23 (The Rock/Dwayne Johnson) Smart is sent to take out the bad guys.brbrGet Smart has taken a realistic approach to a flick and sometimes feels as if you could be viewing a bond flick due to feeling that some of the gizmos are right up Q’s street. However some of the aspects are not to realistic such as hanging on to a wire while flying in mid air but this does add some more jokes to the flick. Steve Carell is very appealing in this flick like we have all expect and shares some great onscreen chemistry with co star Hathaway.brbrI really give this movie a thumbs up. Great action, solid acting, and a great body (Hathaway), Get Smart is a winner. It takes a unique twist to comedies that represent more serious a href=http://www.hidefdvd.com/dvd-movies.htm target=’_blank’dvd movies/a and did it better.br
