I Am Legend Special Edition Blu-rays To Be Released On The 18th of March Only In Canada

Best Buy Canada has announced the release of a special 3-disc exclusive edition of I Am Legend next Tuesday, 18th of March that will be only be made available in Canada. Along with the film, the set includes a “making of” DVD. It is not known yet what is contained in the second disc - maybe a digital download version of the movie? Strangely enough, this exclusive set is actually CAN$3 cheaper than the vanilla version which retails for CAN$32.99.

Also to be made available is an exclusive steelbook edition of I Am Legend that will only be available through Future Shop in Canada, retailing at CAN$32.99. There will also be an exclusive steelbook of the 2-disc SD DVD available on the same day.

Future Shop will not ship outside of Canada, even to the US (Bollocks!). I am not sure if Best Buy Canada has the same policy. Maybe one of you Canadians can let us know if it is.

Below are the scans of both editions. Pity about the bilingual artwork for the 3-disc edition. What do you think of the minimalist artwork? I rather like it. Again, let me know what you think.

    what? there is no such a thing as a “3-disc Best Buy exclusive Blu-ray”, it is only on DVDs, the only diferent version of BluRay is the steel book case offered by FutureShop!

    When i looked up the I Am Legend Blu-ray’s on both Best Buy & Future Shop it showed as 3-disc and priced at $29.95 Cdn at Best Buy Canada,with the Future Shop showing the Steelbook Blu-ray. Then last week when i went to recheck & possibly order the 3 disc BB Edition for myself it had changed to 2 Disc only and the price had risen to $32.95 Cdn. When i made my original blog i stated that i did not know what was on the 2nd disc & i stated that i may be a digital copy for downloading.I assure you Pete it did state 3-disc and not 2-disc..
