Another Blu-ray Disc Replacement - This Time From Disney
Still on the subject of Blu-ray replacements, about 2 months after Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl was released on Blu-ray, it was found that during some scenes, particularly the first encounter between Will Turner and Jack Sparrow in the blacksmith’s stable, there was some very serious misframing. You could see too much of the floor, whilst the tops of the characters’ heads were cut off.
As a result, Disney decided to replace said discs. The numbers to call are 1-800-723-4763 (US) and 1-800-877-2843 (Canada). You can also send an email to disneyinfo [at] disneyhelp [dot] com where you could register the problem and give your details such as name, address, and email address, as well as the purchase details like date of purchase, place of purchase, zone, and the UPC code (most important!).
Returns have been very hit and miss with many people (yours truly, included) having contacted them many months ago, only to get the same automated email, or no reply at all. Two days ago, I sent a rather terse email stating my displeasure at their lack of customer service and that I did not want yet another auto-response. I finally got a personal reply, stating that disc would be on its way immediately. If you received a similar lack of response, email them again (and again) and bug them into replacing the disc. Do not accept an auto-response.
